The main candidates saluted Mr Chirac last night for the dignity of his resignation speech, with the exception of Jean-Marie Le Pen, leader of the far-right Front National, who called him the “worst president in French history”.

“Chirac was the symbol of political corruption in the eyes of the entire world,” Mr Le Pen said.

The Office

I’ve spent much of the past two days watching the second season of The Office. The US version that is. I wasn’t crazy about the first season, because as much as I love Steve Carell, he’s not as good at being Ricky Gervais as Ricky is. However, the second season has developed the other characters, who i believe are funnier, and Steve has developed as well. It’s real good. Here’s a taste, when Michael Scott (Steve Carell) goes to an improv class. He actually reminds me of a certain improv-er at my school.
